Most places tell you to ask
You land after a long day with children and luggage, and the last thing you want is a negotiation at a taxi rank in a language you do not speak.
Send us your flight number and somebody will be standing there when you come out.
Prices
These are one way prices. If you want collecting on the way back as well, it is the same again. Tell us when you book and we will hold the time.
Per car, not per person. Four people pay the same as one.
More than four of you? Ask us. The car is a sedan, so a larger group needs a different arrangement and we will tell you what it costs before you commit.
- 60 euros – Chania airport (CHQ), one way, per car, up to 4 people
- 120 euros – Heraklion airport (HER), one way, per car, up to 4 people
- 50 euros – Souda port, one way, per car, up to 4 people
Which Airport
Chania is the one you want. It is much closer, the drive is straightforward, and the transfer is half the price of Heraklion. If you have a choice of flights, choose this one.
Heraklion is further, which is why it costs 120 rather than 60. Plenty of guests still fly into it because the flights are cheaper or the times are better. If the fare saving is more than 60 euros, it is worth it. If it is not, it is not.
Souda is the port at Chania, where the overnight ferry from Piraeus arrives. It docks early. We will be there.
What you get for it

If your flight is delayed we watch it and adjust. You do not need to ring anyone from the aircraft.
The alternatives, honestly
You have other options and it is worth knowing what they are.
A taxi from the rank costs roughly what we charge, sometimes more in the evening, and you are arranging it in Greek at midnight with no fixed price agreed.
The bus is much cheaper and perfectly reasonable if you are travelling light and it is daytime. It runs along the main road and leaves you a walk from here with your bags. With small children and suitcases at eleven at night, it is not the same proposition.
Hiring a car at the airport makes sense if you want a car for the whole stay. If you want one for two or three days in the middle, we can bring one to the door on the days you actually want it, which usually works out cheaper.
Booking it
Message us with your flight number, arrival date and time, and how many of you there are. We confirm the price back to you in writing. Nothing is taken up front.
A few days’ notice in July and August. Outside high season, a day is usually enough.

Questions
Is 60 euros each way or return?
Each way. Sixty from Chania airport to us, sixty back again. If you want both, say so when you book and we will arrange the return at the same time.
Is it per person or per car?
Per car, up to four people. Four of you pay the same as one.
What if there are more than four of us?
Ask us. The car seats four, so a bigger group needs a different arrangement. We will give you the price before you commit to anything.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
We watch the flight and adjust. You do not need to contact us from the plane. That is the reason we ask for the flight number rather than just the time.
Is the transfer included in the room price?
No. It is charged separately, at the prices above.
Can you take us to the airport at the end?
Yes, same price. Tell us at check in or any time during your stay and we will book the time.
Do I need a car once I am here?
Not for the village, which you can walk to along the beach. For the rest of Crete you want one, and we can have a car at the door for the days you want it rather than the whole stay.
